Chairman, SAMDA Sports Africa, Tajudeen Disu, is full of accolades for SAMDA Ghana for its superb launch of its sports programme.
The former Nigeria defender who doubles as chairman, SAMDA Nigeria, is having good times in Ghana since arriving in the West African country on Tuesday night, being warmly received by the chairman of SAMDA Ghana, Mr. David Ameyibor, at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
Disu, who is on his first official assignment following his appointment by the California, USA-based non-profit organisation, is delighted at the top-notch opening ceremony, which was held on Wednesday.
“It was a nice and well-planned opening ceremony by the host country, Ghana; I give them kudos,” said Disu, whose first assignment is obviously replete with pleasant memories.
SAMDA Ghana launch
will see a total of 66 secondary schools (24 boys and 22 girls) jostle for honours in a football tournament at El Wak Sports Complex, Accra, Ghana, from Thursday, December 7 to Sunday, December 10, 2023.
The opening ceremony had in attendance a retinue of top Ghanaian dignitaries, including the Director of Sports in Ghana, Mrs. Mawusi Nudekor Awity, and the Greater Accra Reginal Director, Mrs. Juliana Nkrumah.
The football tournament is a precursor to a litany of agricultural, sports, health, educational, and humanitarian programmes being executed across the globe by SAMDA.
